She relocated from Brisbane in 2004 to study medicine at MonashUniversity, graduating in 2009 with her MBBS and an honours researchdegree. She has since earned a Graduate Diploma of Surgical Anatomyfrom the University of Melbourne, a Masters of Sports Medicine through theUniversity of Queensland (UQ) and is now engaged in a PhD through UQfocused on tissue engineering options for bone graft.
She is committed toadvancing her evidence-based practice through teaching and research.
Emma became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons inAugust 2022 and has completed 18 months of sub-speciality training inQueensland and Italy.
She is an active member of the AustralianOrthopaedic Association.
She strives to treat her patients holistically, withthe aim to relieve pain and restore function.
