History

Ramsay Surgical Centre Glenferrie was purchased in 2003 and opened in 2004. Prior to opening it was extensively renovated, updated and refurbished.

The hospital is owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care.

Ramsay Health Care was founded in 1964 by Paul Ramsay. It has grown to become the largest provider of private hospital services in Australia, owning and operating hospitals in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
