MR Gary Kode

Mr Gary Kode is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon, with experience in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, and non-surgical treatments.

He graduated MbChb 1981 from the University of Cape Town and was awarded his Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1991. After 3 years as a VMO and Senior Lecturer at the University of Natal,and 5 years in Private Practice, he relocated to Tasmania where he established a very busy Private Practice, covering a broad range of procedures in all aspects of Plastic Surgery. In his 33 years of Plastic Surgery, he has performed of the order of 25000 procedures, covering most areas of the body.

In 2001, he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.  He became Head of Unit for Plastic Surgery in 2012, and established a fully accredited teaching Unit at the Launceston General Hospital in 2018. Between 2003 and 2008, he served as Councillor on the Medical Council of Tasmania and was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship in 2008 for his work as a Rotary International Surgeon (ROMAC).

Mr Kode is a member of the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), The International Confederation for Plastic and Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Mr Kode is now joining the team at Coco Ruby Plastic Surgery, Hawthorn, to pursue what has always been his passion, and that is aesthetic and elective plastic surgery.
